Hey,
How many of you were tired today at work because you stayed up to watch the lakers win?
I was one of those people, but luckily I am on vacation so I was able to sleep in.
The Finals went to game 7 which any sports fan gets excited about, the sad this is that usually games 7's are a flop, but this game lived up to the hype.
The lakers won 83-79 (I was cheering for Boston)
The game was close the whole game with the storyline developing that Kobe was choking, he had a terrible game and was being pulled along by unlikely stars like tough guy Ron Artest.
The game was exciting and I was just happy for that because I'm not a huge NBA fan, maybe I'll chat later about the talk about Kobe being as good as MJ......
Hello All,
So I'm sure that all you have seen this video so far, but if not here it is.
There is alot of talk about this video on the news today, CNN is showing the video it seems every half hour, Whats your take on the officers actions?
There are two Points I would like to touch on here:
1) Police officers live in a world today where you always have to be thinking that all your actions are being recorded, we live in a world where everyone has cellphone and those cell phones can now even record in HD, Years ago this would have been a local story about the teens complaint, but now it's national news because there's a video and stuff like this sells!!!
2) When watching this video I want you to be careful when your judging the officers, he was attempting to make an arrest the female was resisting and the other female jumped in, as a police officer he has to take charge and as you can see the situation was going out of control, I am not saying a punch to the face was proper force and I'm not going to judge him leave that to his supervisors, But I would hate to see an officers life ruined over all the attention this will get..
Hey,
The World Cup started today, if your at work and you can't watch it Give WatchSportslive.net a try, You should be able to watch the games from your desktop!!
Hello all,
I have been doing some great biking these days off, I'm back to work tomorrow for another 4 days then after that I'm off for 12... I can't wait I Hope the weather is nice.
Well tomorrow is a big sports day, The FIFA World Cup starts up, The Host nation is SOuth Africa.
I am not a big soccer (football) fan but I love any big sporting event, So I will be watching the games.
I want to know who you think will win the World Cup? Take the poll on the side.
Well yesterday it poured down rain here, and I sent most of the day sitting in the house, but now that the sun has popped it's head out from behind the clouds I think that I'll pop out for a run...
I have been slacking alittle lately so I think I'll just go for a 5Km run, if the bike trails were not as wet from yesterdays rain I'd hit the Trails but it's running today....
1 day after the Men's #1 seed was taken out by Robin Soderling it was Samantha Stosur of Australia time to shine, pulling the surprise over Williams, saving her best and boldest strokes for the final, testy moments of an extended match. They were enough to beat top-seeded Serena Williams in the quarterfinals of the French Open, 6-2, 6-7 (2), 8-6.
Have you seen the Massive Sinkhole in Guatemala?
You know it's bad when you have to look at it a few times, thinking it's fake!!
Following torrential downpour courtesy of Tropical Storm Agatha, a gigantic, hellish sinkhole has formed in northern Guatemala City. So far, the abyss has consumed a three-story building and an intersection.
I have been slack the last while updating my blog, I plan to pick it up again as the summer gets going.
Here in Halifax we had our Bluenose Marathon recently, I always work it when asked, I end up watching all the great runners go by, past years it's been in the rain but this years it was great weather.
One thing that always gets me is the runners that take the time as they are running by to say thank-you for working the event. One thing from working the event, I wish that I could help plan the event, I would take the run on a better path to help avoid some of the traffic mess that you get from the event.
I must say that on a funny note, there's a gentlemen that I have seen the last cpl of years, I give him credit he runs the full marathon (which I could never do) but what puts a smile on my face is that he runs the Marathon in a skirt and sports bra and he must weigh 260Lbs.... Power to him!
